ISO 10426-6:2008 is an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard for the petroleum and natural gas industries that defines methods to determine the static gel strength (SGS) of cement slurries and related materials under simulated well conditions. Measured outputs and reporting: Record initial SGS and elapsed times to reach specified SGS thresholds (50, 100, 150, 200, 250 Pa). Where applicable, determine the critical static gel strength (CSGS) and the critical static gel-strength period (CSGSP) (see Annex A for additional information).

Calibration and accuracy: Temperature-measuring systems (type J thermocouple) to ±2 °C accuracy; instrument calibration per manufacturer, with periodic checks (e.g., thermocouple calibration no less frequently than every three months).
