ISO 10469:2006 - "Copper sulfide concentrates - Determination of copper - Electrogravimetric method" - specifies an analytical procedure for determining the mass fraction of copper in copper sulfide concentrates in the range 15% to 50%. The method is electrogravimetric: copper is chemically liberated from the concentrate, separated from interfering elements, and electrolytically deposited for gravimetric measurement. Trace copper remaining in solutions and residues is quantified by FAAS (flame atomic absorption spectrometry) or ICP-AES.
