Abstract

Overview

ISO 10483-1:2004 specifies minimum requirements for high-side intelligent power switches (HSIPS) used in road vehicles with 12 V or 24 V nominal supplies. The standard defines functional behavior, protection features, packaging recommendations and test methods for HSIPS intended for typical automotive loads (lamps, motors, relays etc.). It is Part 1 of the ISO 10483 series covering intelligent power switches (Part 2 covers low-side devices).
