Abstract
Overview
ISO 10542-1:2012/Amd 1:2021 updates Part 1 of the international standard for wheelchair tiedown and occupant‑restraint systems (WTORS). The amendment adds Annexes K, L and M and supplies test methods and performance criteria for rear‑impact evaluation, combined three‑point restraint arrangements, and vehicle‑mounted head‑and‑back restraints. It aligns WTORS testing with established crash pulses (ECE R44 corridor) and a 25 km/h delta‑V sled test representative of moderate‑to‑severe rear collisions.
