ISO 1120:2025 - Conveyor belts - Determination of strength of mechanical fastenings for textile conveyor belts - Static test method - specifies a laboratory static tensile test to measure the strength of mechanical fastenings on textile conveyor belts. It covers fastenings that use a connecting rod and those that do not, excludes vulcanized joints and is not applicable to light conveyor belts (see ISO 21183‑1). The standard’s primary purpose is to screen out mechanical fastenings with insufficient static strength; a dynamic test is intended to follow in a later document.
