Conditioning methods: Two conditioning routes (Method A default, Method B option) and use of ventilated ovens or water containers for pre-conditioning are specified.

Artificial weathering equipment: Fully automated test chambers with controlled radiation, temperature and humidity conforming to ISO 4892 series. Xenon-arc lamps are the default light source; fluorescent UV and open-flame carbon arc are optional, with corresponding test conditions referenced.

Degradation cycles: Each weathering period is six weeks; a degradation cycle includes weathering plus mechanical cycling and visual examination. The default repeat count is three cycles (or as required).

Examination & reporting: Visual assessment of quantity, width and depth of cohesive cracks, rating of significant loss of cohesion/adhesion, sectional analysis, photo documentation and a standardized test report are required.
