Overview
ISO 12877:2011 - Traceability of finfish products - specifies the information to be recorded in farmed finfish distribution chains to establish product traceability from feed, breeding and farming through to retailers and caterers. The standard defines how traded fishery products should be identified and what information each food business operator (FBO) that physically trades units must generate and hold. It is focussed on distribution for human consumption of farmed finfish and their products, supporting food safety, labelling and commercial traceability.
