Abstract
Overview
ISO 13261-2:1998 provides standardized methods for determining the sound power ratings of air-conditioning and air-source heat pump equipment specifically for non-ducted indoor units. This international standard, established by ISO/TC 86, covers testing, data collection, and rating procedures necessary to accurately quantify and report acoustic emissions from equipment such as packaged-terminal air-conditioners, free-delivery heat pumps, and water-source heat pumps intended for indoor, non-ducted applications.
