La présente partie de l'ISO 13317 décrit une méthode de détermination de la distribution granulométrique d'une poudre dispersée dans un liquide, par la méthode de sédimentation par gravité. Le mesurage de la concentration du dépôt de solides présents dans une suspension liquide est effectué par contrôle de l'incrément d'absorption d'un signal provenant d'un faisceau de rayons X.
