Overview
ISO 13444:2012 is an International Standard for Technical Product Documentation (TPD) that defines the dimensioning and indication of knurling on cylindrical workpieces. It standardizes a range of knurling dimensions for general mechanical engineering use to reduce tool multiplicity and improve uniformity and appearance. The standard covers both straight and diamond knurl patterns, prescribes a fixed profile angle, gives allowable diametral pitches, and includes an alternative module-based method in Annex A.
