ISO 14603:2012 describes a test method for the determination of open-hole tensile strengths of ceramic matrix composite materials with continuous fibre reinforcement at room temperature. ISO 14603:2012 - Fine ceramics (advanced ceramics, advanced technical ceramics) - specifies a standardized test method for open-hole tension of continuous fibre‑reinforced ceramic matrix composites (CMCs) at room temperature. The standard defines specimen geometry, apparatus, environmental conditions, test procedure and result calculation for determining open‑hole tensile strength.
