This document specifies the minimum quality characteristics of hydrogen fuel as distributed for utilization in vehicular and stationary applications. It is applicable to hydrogen fuelling applications, which are listed in Table 1.

Overview
ISO 14687:2019 - Hydrogen fuel quality - Product specification - defines the minimum quality characteristics for hydrogen fuel as distributed for vehicular and stationary applications. It consolidates and replaces the earlier parts (‑1, ‑2, ‑3), updating impurity tolerances and test/verification approaches in light of modern PEM (proton exchange membrane) fuel‑cell developments. The standard covers gaseous, liquid and slush hydrogen and hydrogen‑based fuels and provides a framework for hydrogen fuelling, quality control and sampling.
