Abstract
Overview
ISO 15087-1:1999 - "Dental elevators - Part 1: General requirements" defines the general material, dimensional, performance and marking requirements for dental elevators. It sets baseline criteria for working-end hardness, surface finish, corrosion and thermal resistance, mechanical strength at the union between working end and handle, and leak integrity of hollow handles. The part is the general framework that complements the subsequent parts of that cover specific elevator types.
