Overview
ISO 1586:1977 - Textile machinery and accessories - Shuttles - Terms and designation in relation to the position of the shuttle eye - provides an illustrated nomenclature and a uniform method of designation for shuttles used in conventional weaving looms. The standard defines terms in the three official ISO languages (English, French, Russian) and includes an annex with equivalent German terms at the request of ISO/TC 72. ISO 1586:1977 replaces ISO Recommendation R 1586-1970 without technical change.
