Abstract
Overview
ISO 15876-5:2017/Amd 1:2020 is an important amendment to the international standard governing plastics piping systems for hot and cold water installations made from Polybutene (PB). This amendment specifically addresses the fitness for purpose of the system, ensuring piping assemblies meet rigorous performance criteria for durability and safety in water supply applications. Developed by ISO Technical Committee ISO/TC 138 in collaboration with CEN/TC 155, the amendment updates test parameters and references to harmonize system requirements and enhance reliability.
