ISO 16242:2011 specifies the minimum level of information to be reported by the analyst following the analysis of a test specimen using Auger electron spectroscopy (AES). It includes information that is to be recorded on or in the analytical record.
Abstract
Overview
ISO 16242:2011 - Surface chemical analysis - Recording and reporting data in Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) defines the that must be recorded and reported after analysing a test specimen by Auger electron spectroscopy. The standard ensures AES data are traceable, repeatable and interpretable by specifying what belongs in the analyst’s record, how spectra and quantitative results should be documented, and what metadata must accompany depth profiles, maps/linescans and chemical‑state analyses.
