ISO 16552:2014 specifies repeatable test methods for measuring stopping distance during a straight-line emergency braking manoeuvre with the vehicle’s anti‑lock braking system (ABS) fully operational. It applies to heavy commercial vehicles and buses as defined in ISO 3833 (truck and trailer categories N2/N3/O3/O4 and buses/articulated buses category M3) - i.e., trucks above 3.5 t and buses above 5 t.
