ISO 17899:2004 - Ships and marine technology: marine electric window wipers - specifies performance, construction, materials and electrical requirements for heavy-duty wiper systems used on sea‑going vessels where bridge duty is regularly maintained. The standard covers complete wiper systems (drive, control, arms and blades) for common types - straight‑line, pendulum and pantograph - and allows motors mounted either inside or outside the bridge.
