Overview
ISO 1834:1999 - "Short link chain for lifting purposes - General conditions of acceptance" defines the acceptance criteria for electrically welded round-steel short link chain used in lifting. The standard covers both medium-tolerance chain (for chain slings and general lifting) and fine-tolerance chain (for chain hoists and similar appliances). It specifies manufacturing, testing and inspection requirements to ensure mechanical integrity, traceability and safe use of short link lifting chain.
