Overview
ISO 18616-1:2016 - Transport packaging - Reusable, rigid plastic distribution boxes - Part 1: General purpose application - defines standardized types, dimensions and identification, marking and safety requirements for reusable rigid plastic distribution boxes used in handling, transport, storage and display throughout distribution systems. It is intended for general-purpose returnable transport systems (RTIs) from manufacture to retail.

- Boxes are based on modular areas: 600 × 400 mm, 600 × 500 mm, 550 × 366 mm and subdivisions of these modules. Plan dimensions must not exceed the module and deviations shall be ≤ 0.5%.
