Overview
ISO 19030-2:2016 - “Ships and marine technology - Measurement of changes in hull and propeller performance - Part 2: Default method” - defines the default, repeatable method for measuring changes in a ship’s hull and propeller performance and for calculating a set of basic performance indicators (PIs). It is intended for commercial displacement ships driven by conventional fixed‑pitch propellers and is designed to compare a ship to itself over time (reference period vs evaluation period). The standard also provides guidance on the expected accuracy of each PI.
