Controlled test conditions:

Wet mixing time: typically 2–8 min (deflocculated mixes often need longer).
Mixer pan loading: 50–75% of dry batch volume.
Temperature: water, castable and ambient between 18 °C and 22 °C.
Water quality: potable mains water recommended.

Outputs and reporting:

Report slump S (mm) or flow value F (%).
Report water addition as litres per 100 kg dry castable (l/100 kg).
Record mixing times and elapsed time from water addition (useful for working time determination).
