ISO 19630:2017 - Fine ceramics (advanced ceramics, advanced technical ceramics) - Methods of test for reinforcements - Determination of tensile properties of filaments at ambient temperature describes a standardized laboratory method to measure the tensile properties of single ceramic filaments at ambient temperature. The standard defines how to obtain tensile strength, Young’s modulus, and fracture strain for continuous ceramic filaments taken from tows, yarns, braids and knittings, for filaments with strain-to-fracture ≤ 5 %.
