Overview
ISO 21581:2010 - "Timber structures - Static and cyclic lateral load test methods for shear walls" - defines laboratory procedures to determine lateral load resisting parameters for timber shear walls used in wind and seismic design. The standard specifies specimen preparation, environmental conditioning, test apparatus, static (monotonic) and cyclic displacement schedules, data collection (hysteresis and envelope/backbone curves) and reporting requirements.
