This document specifies the technical requirements and test methods for indoor bamboo flooring for internal use. This document also specifies handling, storage, packaging and marking requirements. It is applicable to unfinished and finished indoor bamboo flooring. This includes laminated bamboo flooring, bamboo scrimber flooring, bamboo - wood composite flooring, and flattened bamboo flooring.

Scope of product types: laminated bamboo, bamboo scrimber, bamboo–wood composite, flattened bamboo.
Appearance requirements: freedom from decay, insect attack and physical damage; allowable defects (splinters, cracks, blisters) with guidance on removal or filling to preserve function and finish.
Dimension and flatness tolerances: typical product ranges (lengths ~450–2 400 mm, widths 60–220 mm, thickness 8–25 mm) with tolerances for length, width and thickness and limits on squareness, spring, cup, bow, assembly gap and lipping.
Physical and mechanical properties:
- Moisture content (MC): specified range (e.g., ≥5.0 % up to equilibrium moisture content), with test method in Annex B.
- Density: minimums (commonly ≥500 kg/m3; bamboo scrimber ≥800 kg/m3).
- Modulus of rupture (MoR): performance thresholds by product type (examples: laminated ≥70 MPa; scrimber ≥90 MPa; flattened ≥40 MPa).
- Bonding quality: cumulative delamination limits (not exceeding 1/3 of glue line length) with Annex C test method.
- Surface performance: abrasion resistance (ARS), stain resistance, adhesion of surface film (ISO 2409 ≤3), paint film hardness (≥H) for lacquered products.
Test methods and sampling: references to ISO test methods and specified specimen sizes; Annex A–C provide normative procedures for assembly gap, moisture determination and bonding quality.
Handling, storage, packaging and marking: requirements to maintain product condition through distribution and installation.
