This document specifies the dimensions and technical requirements for ratcheting wrenches used in assembly or disassembly of hexagonal and double hexagonal fasteners. NOTE The wrenches covered by this document are the ones identified in ISO 1703 under reference No.1 1 01 07 0, 1 1 01 08 0, 1 1 01 09 0 and 1 1 02 19 0, 1 1 02 20 0. NOTE The wrenches according to this document are not intended for uses with impact stress of the wrench.

Cycle testing: Non‑reversible wrenches - 5 000 cycles in one direction; reversible wrenches - minimum 2 500 cycles in each direction at 35% of the minimum test torque (≤ 60 cycles/min).
Drop testing: 12 drops from 1.8 m onto concrete (six vertical with box‑end down, six horizontal).
Function checks: Flexible heads and reversing levers must set and hold position without excessive force.

Test sequence: A defined order for reversing torque, torque, drop, function and cycle tests is provided so all tests can be applied to the same sample.

Marking: Tools must be permanently marked with the nominal width (mm) and manufacturer/trademark.
