Overview
ISO 2236:1991 is an International Standard that specifies maximum outside head dimensions for forged and tubular socket wrenches used for assembly of screws and nuts. Published as the third edition (1991), it replaces the 1982 edition and was prepared by ISO/TC 29 (Small tools). The standard applies to socket wrench types listed under numbers in and provides envelope limits to ensure consistent external sizing and interchangeability.
