Friction block: material (e.g., X153CrMoV12), coating (e.g., CrN), roughness (Ra 0.1 µm) and contact area must be specified.
Lubrication: base oil; example viscosities and oiling amounts (e.g., 2 000 mg/m²) are provided; amount of lubricant should be measured if variable.

Procedure & data:

Record friction and normal forces; compute coefficient μ = F/N.
Repeat tests at least five times and exclude the first run when averaging.
Report full test parameters, measurement range, deviations and observed anomalies.
