This document specifies the requirements for periodic inspection and testing of welded steel transportable pressure drums of water capacity from 150 l up to 1 000 l and up to 300 bar test pressure intended for compressed and liquefied gases.

Openings, threads and flanges: Specific checks for internal threads, flanged openings and retaining assemblies; evaluation of damage and repairability (Clause 11).
Pressure testing: Procedures for hydraulic and pneumatic proof tests (Clauses 12.3.1–12.3.2) and the associated acceptance criteria (Clause 12.4).
Repair and rejection: Requirements for weld and other repairs, criteria for rejection and rendering drums unserviceable, and conditions for returning rejected drums to service (Clauses 13, 16 and Annex B).
Records and marking: Final operations including drying, painting, fitting valves, tare verification, retest marking and record‑keeping (Clause 15).
