Abstract
Overview
provides an internationally recognized method for testing the adsorption efficiency of activated carbon fibres (ACF), such as nonwoven fabrics or fibrous felt with a thickness of less than 20 mm. This standard is intended to measure the ability of ACF materials to adsorb and remove radioactive iodine isotopes (notably Iodine-131) from air or exhaust gas flows. As concerns about airborne radioactive contaminants grow, reliable and standardized testing of adsorption materials becomes crucial for textile, filtration, and environmental applications.
