Overview
ISO 2585:1972 specifies the dimensional requirements for slotting cutters with plain bore and key drive - metric series. It covers slotting cutters intended to fit cutter arbors and defines the metric dimensions for bodies with straight-sided or helical teeth. The standard aligns the recommended range of outside diameters with ISO/R 523 and references bore and keyway interchangeability from ISO/R 240.
