Specimen production: Prepare and test specimens at ambient conditions of (23 ± 2) °C and (50 ± 10) % RH. Precondition surfaces per manufacturer; if none, rinse 10 s and remove visible water. Apply adhesive per manufacturer’s instructions. Use a plastics button mould with hole diameter (2.38 ± 0.03) mm for composite placement; prepare 15 specimens for testing.

Test apparatus & procedure: The notched-edge shear apparatus and detailed drawings are provided (Annex A). The method specifies shear loading, test execution, data recording and reporting procedures.
