ISO 3531-1:2022 is the normative specification of the Financial Information eXchange (FIX) , the original and widely used syntax for FIX messages at the session layer. Published by ISO and prepared by the FIX Trading Community, this standard defines how FIX session messages are encoded, delimited and validated to ensure reliable, ordered delivery of trading and market data across transport protocols.
