ISO 3537:2015 - Road vehicles - Safety glazing materials - Mechanical tests specifies mechanical test methods used to assess safety glazing in road vehicles, regardless of the glazing material (glass or plastics). Published as the fourth edition in 2015, the standard defines impact, abrasion, fragmentation and head‑form test methods, test conditions, apparatus and how to report results. Its purpose is to verify that windshields, side windows and other vehicle glazing meet minimum mechanical safety performance for occupant protection.
