Abstract
Overview
ISO 37162:2023 - Smart community infrastructures - Smart transportation for newly developing areas provides a procedural framework to plan and arrange for newly developed districts (also called new towns, satellite towns or bedroom towns). The standard covers passenger transport inside a newly developing area and connections between that area and existing city centres. It prescribe construction methods for transport infrastructure; instead it guides selection, installation and operation of transport services to support sustainable, connected communities.
