1.1 La présente partie de l'ISO 4190 spécifie les boutons et les signalisations à prévoir lors de la construction et de l'installation d'un ascenseur, compte tenu du type de manoeuvre retenu pour l'appareil en cause. La définition des manoeuvres n'est donnée que pour permettre de préciser les boutons et signalisations à prévoir, mais elle n'en constitue pas un descriptif complet. Le tableau récapitule les dispositifs nécessaires ou optionnels dans chacun des cas décrits. La présente partie de l'ISO 4190 spécifie également les exigences relatives aux mains courantes lorsque celles-ci sont prévues dans la cabine. 1.2 La présente partie de l'ISO 4190 est applicable aux ascenseurs des classes I à IV telles que définies dans l'ISO 4190-1 et l'ISO 4190-2. 1.3 Les commandes des batteries sont communes et liées électriquement pour assurer un meilleur service en même temps qu'une économie de moyens.
