Test pieces: flat, smooth, parallel surfaces; minimum thickness 6 mm, with the thinnest layer ≥ 2 mm; spacing and edge distances defined for reproducibility.

Measurement of very low rubber hardness in materials where traditional IRHD/durometer scales lack discrimination.
