ISO 5162:2023 defines a harmonized framework for the quality labelling, testing, inspection, packaging and reporting of pure virgin dehaired cashmere. The standard applies only to 100% unused, industrially scoured and dehaired raw cashmere (pure virgin dehaired cashmere) and explicitly excludes dehaired cashmere tops, skin cashmere, recycled cashmere and any products after spinning (yarns, fabrics, garments, accessories, household textiles).
