ISO 5843-1:1985 - "Aerospace construction - List of equivalent terms - Part 1: Aerospace electrical equipment" is a multilingual vocabulary standard prepared by ISO/TC 20 (Aircraft and space vehicles). It establishes a harmonized list of electrical equipment terms used in aerospace construction, given in with equivalent terms in . The German equivalents were included at the request of ISO/TC 20; however, only the three official ISO languages (English, French, Russian) are considered the formal ISO terms.
