Abstract
Overview
ISO 6505:2021 specifies a standardized laboratory method to determine the tendency of vulcanized or thermoplastic rubbers to adhere to and to corrode metals under defined test conditions. The method uses rubber test pieces clamped between metal strips in controlled dry or wet atmospheres and relies on visual assessment of metal surfaces after exposure to indicate adhesion to metals and metal corrosion. This fifth edition (2021) updates normative references and provides procedural and calibration detail for reproducible results.
