ISO 7839:2005 - Textile machinery and accessories - Knitting machines - Vocabulary and classification - is an international standard that defines the terminology and classification scheme used for knitting machines and their accessories. Published by ISO/TC 72 (Textile machinery), this second edition (2005) replaces the 1984 edition and provides harmonized terms in English and French, with German equivalents published under DIN responsibility. The standard is intended to create consistent language for manufacturers, engineers, technical authors and educators working in the knitting industry.
