ISO 7879:1997 - "Diesel engines - Cradle-mounted in-line fuel injection pumps - Mounting dimensions" is an international standard that defines the mounting dimensions and tolerances for cradle‑mounted in-line fuel injection pumps used on compression‑ignition (diesel) engines. Published as the third edition in 1997 and prepared by ISO/TC 22/SC 7, the standard provides dimensional tables and figures (Types 1–3) with values in millimetres to ensure mechanical compatibility and interchangeability of pump units.
