Abstract
Overview
ISO 7915:2021 specifies a repeatable test method and minimum strength requirements for the handles of portable hand‑held chain‑saws, intended primarily for forestry and tree‑service use. The standard defines environmental conditions, fixture and load application details, and pass/fail criteria to verify that front and rear handles withstand static loads without cracking or breaking - and remain functional so an operator can hold the machine and stop the engine even if vibration isolation fails.
