ISO 8007-1:1999 specifies procedures for sampling consignments of used in the production of aluminium and for taking test samples from individual blocks. It complements the statistical sampling basis given in and references for sampling vocabulary. The standard focuses on practical, safe and traceable methods to obtain representative test specimens without compromising the structural integrity or serviceability of cathode blocks.
