Overview
ISO 8615:1991 is an International Standard that specifies requirements for metal . It covers nails and screws (including cannulated types), one‑piece nail plates and blade plates, and multi‑piece fixation assemblies (fixed or adjustable angle, and sliding nails/screws). The standard’s main aim is to ensure uniformity in how device sizes and critical dimensions are designated so implants from different manufacturers with the same nominal size are compatible and safe.
