ISO 8879:1986/Amd 1:1988 is Amendment 1 to ISO 8879:1986 - the international standard for the Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML). Published by ISO in 1988, this amendment enhances the technical content of the original SGML standard to clarify parsing, attribute handling, linking, error reporting and delimiter recognition without changing SGML’s fundamental design.
