Overview
ISO 9717:2024 – Metallic and other inorganic coatings - Phosphate conversion coating of metals is the latest revision from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) that specifies the requirements for phosphate conversion coatings. These coatings are commonly applied to ferrous materials, aluminum, zinc, and their alloys to enhance corrosion resistance, improve paint adhesion, facilitate cold forming processes, and modify surface friction properties.
