Overview
ISO 9873:2019 - "Dentistry - Intra-oral mirrors" is an international standard that specifies requirements and test methods for with a coated glass reflecting surface used inside the oral cavity. The standard covers design, dimensions, materials, optical performance, mechanical strength and resistance to reprocessing, plus marking and labelling (including UDI requirements). It applies to both metallic and plastic mirror casings and handles and is intended for manufacturers, regulatory bodies and users involved in dental instrument design, testing and purchase.
