Overview
ISO/ASTM 52915:2020 - Specification for Additive Manufacturing File Format (AMF) Version 1.2 defines a modern, XML-based interchange file format for additive manufacturing (3D printing). Published as the third edition in 2020, the standard describes how to prepare, display and transmit AMF files to support current and future additive manufacturing technology. The AMF is designed to be technology‑independent, easy to implement, scalable, backward compatible with STL, and extensible for new features.
