Abstract
Overview
ISO/IEC 14496-10:2022 - Advanced Video Coding (AVC) - specifies a widely used standard for coding of audio‑visual objects. Published as the tenth edition (2022) of Part 10 of the series, this document captures the syntax, semantics, decoding and parsing processes required to implement interoperable AVC/H.264 systems. It is the formal joint standard with ITU‑T H.264 and includes updates such as new supplemental enhancement information (SEI) messages (annotated regions and shutter interval).
